Step 1 Dance 2 Academy's May e-Newsletter   It's Showtime! S1D2 Spring Showcase  at the Todd's Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College Saturday, May 4th 2013 Doors Open at 6:00 and Show Begins at 6:30 We are anticipating an incredible show with such talented dancers of all ages. Tickets have sold extremely fast this year, and we may not have many to sell at the door, therefore, if you have waited...it is very important to purchase them now!! Absolutely NO pictures or videos are permitted during the Showcase; only during dress rehearsal! DVD's will be available 2 wks after the Showcase and before classes end! DVD order forms are available at the studio!! Below are the Rehearsal Schedules for the Students! This is where your child will be changing before and during the Showcase.   There will be no dance class on Friday, May 3th and Saturday the 4th, as we will be having dress rehearsal at the theater. ALL CLASSES END ON MAY 24th!!! TUITION IS DUE 1st-7th! THIS IS THE LAST MONTH INVOICES WILL BE SENT OUT!!! IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ATTENDING CLASSES, TUITION IS STILL DUE AS WRITTEN IN OUR POLICIES WE NEED 30 DAYS NOTICE!   Showcase/Studio Party at Matapeake Beach Saturday, May 11th 2:00-3:30 Look for the evite we will be sending via email/blog!! Bring sunscreen, games, and bathing suits! Feel free to bring your favorite dessert or food! We will have a table, beach games, and music. Parents are more than welcome to stay (especially for younger students) and celebrate a wonderful year with us!!   Welcome Tina Lilly to the Step 1 Dance 2 Family   Tina Lilly will be joining the Step 1 Dance 2 family this July for Inter/Adv. Ballet, Pre Pointe, Inter Pre Dance, Beginner Ballet & Tap classes and again this coming Fall for several classes.   Tina Lilly is originally from New Jersey where she trained in the Royal Academy of Dance at the American Dance Academy and the Academy of Dance Arts. From the age of 13, Ms. Lilly began intensively training at Joffrey, Houston, Pennsylvania Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School which she attended year round performing with the company.  Tina also had the pleasure of dancing with Towson University Dance Company performing varies works from Sugar Plum Fairy, Dew Drop Fairy in the Nutcracker to being featured in Andrew Carrols Shards of Light. Her performance experience also includes The Rock Schools Benefit Rosetree Theatre, The opening of the Kimmel Center Philadelphia, and the Delaware Dance Festival. She then joined American Repertory Ballet where she performed Urban Tangos, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Where the Wild Things Are. Since then Ms. Lilly has been enjoying instructing and rehearsing at various schools in New Jersey and Maryland and is thrilled to be joining the teaching staff for Step 1 Dance 2.    Summer Intensives Register for Summer Intensives now as some classes are starting to fill quickly!!!We will not be accepting enrollments after classes begin, as we can't pro-rate the summer fees! CLASSES ARE JULY 8th-AUGUST 9th! Make Up Classes We are having 2 Make up classes at the end of May. Due to the days we have scheduled them, please let the instructors know via email if we can expect your child to attend. May 28th  is the make up for all Monday Classes and May 29th is for Thursday Classes. Again, please let the instructors know in advance if your child will make it.   Strength and Conditioning Classes are scheduled for May 10th and May 24th!!!  May Classes/Tuition We are holding classes the whole month of May, with the last class being on May 24th. Therefore a full months tuition is still due in May as stated on enrollment form. All Automatic Withdrawal charges will end immediately after May 1st! Thank you for a wonderful 2nd year of dancing and spending time with your children! Looking forward to dancing BIG in the new space come July!!!Thank you all for making it all possible!
